Guess who had her first ballet class?! Sisaye Claire absolutely loved it. She "got to dance with a wand and everything!" Life doesn't get much better than that. A few days after the first class, Sisaye Claire said she wanted to show me her moves. I asked if she knew the names of said moves, to which she responded, "Yeah. Like Jagger." Really wish I could be a fly on the wall in class number two.

Valentine's Preparations
Valentine's play dough has been made, and hopefully-safe-for-toddlers cookie cutters have been purchased. Looking forward to the beginning of some play table fun!

Ball Girls
We became season ticket holders for the Notre Dame Women's Basketball Team this year. The kidlettes did great once they got the hang of staying in their seats. We tend to lose Abrihet at about halftime, which is great for the parent holding her. Means we're not responsible for bathroom runs! And don't you love the Rambo look on Abribri? Her favorite style (chosen by her, not me!).
Puzzlers
Dinkeneh is hooked on puzzles right now, and he's got his little brother intrigued. They worked on this puzzle for about an hour, with only three scuffles requiring Mama's intervention. It makes a mama happy when the bigs are kind and patient with the littles. In an attempt to commemorate the moment, I tried snagging a photo with the puzzle. What I got instead was a wrestling match on top of said puzzle. Typical.

We did it!
We have been a family of six for a little over a year now. Boy, how time flies. And for some reason, this time, one year seems like a huge accomplishment. Not just a milestone, but an accomplishment. We are all happy, we are all well, and we have settled into a good routine. Whew. It took a lot longer this time around, but it was so, so worth it. Thanks to all those who have inquired and left messages on the blog. I had to prioritize a bit this year, because we did hit some rough transitional patches, and unfortunately, that meant the blog was neglected. I'm once again looking forward to documenting all of the awesomely fabulous shenanigans these four kidlettes get up to everyday. Chris is currently monopolizing my Mac with a little project of his own, so recent photos will have to wait a day or two. For now, here are some photos from this fall. My babies, all so big now. Sniff, sniff.
Sew Happy!
I finally broke out the sewing machine I received for my birthday (yes, three months ago). I'm participating in the Crazy Little Projects Learn to Sew Series. So far, so good. Fabric is cute, I did all the steps properly. My lines may not be perfectly straight, but for a first try, I'm pretty pumped. Hooray! Oh, and in case you are wondering, these are burp cloths. :)

Repairs
The computer is fixed.
We are a work in progress.
Synopsis of the past four months:
December - Awesomely fabulous.
January - Challenging.
February - Meh.
March - Hell.
I will cautiously categorize April as, "Improving."
I'd post pictures, 'cept I haven't got any.
