One Sick Squirticus

A cold, double ear infection, temp of 102+, ickiness coming out both ends, and an inability to swallow antibiotics and tylenol without retching, all make for one sick little man. Poor baby. When we realized the tylenol was a no-go, we placed a wet baby washcloth on his head to try and bring down the temp. It was actually kind of cute, and D didn't seem to mind too much. Next I had to employ the "vomit catcher," a.k.a. the plastic bib. He was rapidly running out of clothes, so drastic measures were required. Poor kid was taken to the doctor's office - twice! - in his p.j.'s and bib. Luckily, a hospital visit was not required, unlike the two little munchkins seen right before us. Today was not a good day in pediatrics, if the state of the waiting room was anything to go by. So we'll consider ourselves lucky we got off so easy!

Poor little guy! I hope he feels better soon. I'm convinced Atticus contracted his current cold in the doctor's waiting room the last time we went in for a well-baby visit. We had a devil of a time getting him to take his medicine after surgery this summer and the only thing that worked was mixing it in applesauce. Maybe that would help D?

Oh, poor baby! Good thing his mama and daddy are taking such good care of him. One thing you might want to check out is the Baby Bjorn bibs with the harder little catcher at the bottom--or maybe that's what you're using. I hope he feels better SOON!!
