D's birthday weekend was absolutely fabulous. My parents, five siblings, and one s.s.o. (sibling significant other) drove up to share in the big day with us. My favorite times are when the condo is full full FULL of loved ones, and people are climbing over one another, sleeping in any available nook or cranny, and driving each other crazy playing musical instruments while babies are trying to sleep (thanks, Joe! :) ). It just doesn't get much better than that.
A brief recap of our weekend: the family arrived around midnight Friday night; we played golf with Dad and the boys Saturday morning while Mom and Elizabeth watched D; everyone traipsed over to campus for some tailgating fun; a lucky handful actually attended the game while the rest of us took refuge in one of the student commons; church on campus after the game (what an experience); and back up bright and early Sunday morning to get ready for D's birthday party.
Whew. Just retyping it makes me tired. I think I'm still catching up on my sleep. But the weekend was a blast, we ended up having perfect weather for the party and got to hang out with so many of our friends and family - it just doesn't get much better than that.
Unfortunately, we neglected to assign someone to the digital camera, so we came away with exactly zero (yeah, ZERO) pictures of the party. Luckily, I think some friends were lurking in the background with their own cameras. I'm stilling waiting on Mike's (hint hint), but Megan shared what little she had. Thanks, Bagel!
So without further ado, the long-awaited birthday bash pictures...
