Spontaneous Delight

Dancing for no reason,

calling an old friend,



a kiss on the cheek,



a nap on a rainy day,



jumping in a puddle,



hugging a stranger,




and the most beautiful of all:

a glance at a waiting child
that leads to a daughter.


Three months old
nine pounds
chubby cheeks
hair to make her big brother green with envy.
