Dead to Me

Whoever invented these puzzles, that is.

Why?

Because if the flipping pieces aren't put exactly in the right place,

and the sun begins to set,

and the light dims in the room where your kid is sleeping,

a cacophony of strange animal noises will fill the air,

and your peacefully sleeping child will suddenly be not so peacefully sleeping.

Now excuse me while I go try to convince my son that roosters are not attacking.

We have a possessed lion that is currently living in the basement because of similar behavior. Stupid thing still randomly starts up with Pop Goes the Weasel in a thinly veiled effort to scare the bejeezus out of me when I am down there in the dark. It frequently finds its way into the spin cycle after such events.

That is quite possibly one of the funniest, and saddest, stories I've heard in a while!

Ha Ha, Amen to this! We have the transportation version, and whenever I would turn out the light sirens would start going off! We finally just resorted to hiding those puzzles in a very dark drawer :)

we've had several electronic toys do that from the bowels of the toy box in the middle of the night. Not fun!

This week I had finally had enough of our annoying animal puzzle with the rooster who had to cock-a-doodle-do in the middle of everynight...when the kids weren't looking I threw it in the garbage! but when we walked in from the garage the cow started to moo from the garbage can, the kids all yelled in unison "hay that's our puzzle why is it in the garbage!" BUSTED!!!

LOL: be careful not to set anything else on fire as you burn the puzzle.

I'm so with you. We have a quacking duck (that quacks "London Bridge"?!?) for the bathtub that goes off randomly. It's getting "disappeared" very soon. Good luck on getting rid of the puzzle!

We have the musical instrument version and lost the trumpet piece. Turmpet sounds every time the light dimmed or went off. Sometimes randomly in the middle of the night. I'm with you.
