Dinkeneh turned three years old on October 3rd. Such a big boy. We started out the day with group puzzling, some requested blueberry oatmeal muffins, then some apple picking with our bestest buddies. Being the awesome parents we are, we neglected to take pictures of the latter half of the day. There were presents, cupcakes with disgusting frosting (damn you, Martha Stewart), and eggs and blueberry pancakes for dinner (not necessarily in that order). D had his well visit a few days prior to the big day, and came in at 70% for weight and 90% percentile for height. Clearly wrong (the height part, that is), but I figured, what the heck. It's probably the only time in his life he's going to land at that percentile for height, so I'll let him enjoy it for a year and won't ask for him to be remeasured. My theory is that the exuberant hair gained him an extra couple of centimeters. That being said, he's healthy and doing well.
We tried to get some family shots while we were there. This is one of the better ones. You can see how successful we were:
Happy third birthday, Dinkeneh!
