Other Books We Love

I thought I'd take a second to talk about some books we already own and love (thus not making it on to our Twelve List this year).  We have owned this one for awhile now and the kids enjoy it:

 Who Invited You?

Who Invited You is pretty darn funny, especially if you are (a) from the South, or (b) can do a great Southern accent anyway.  Being from Kentucky, I find it particularly amusing, and the kidlettes love it.  Note that the author is Candace Fleming (she'll reappear again in just a minute).

A while back, a book arrived in the mail from Grandmom.  This book was a hit from the very beginning:

The Seals on the Bus

The Seals on the Bus is a fantastically funny take on the traditional Wheels on the Bus song.  If you have kiddlettes who are or were into that song or a related book, I highly recommend adding this gem to your collection.  And note that the illustrator is G. Brian Karas (he'll reappear in just a second).

And what happens when a very solid author (Candace Fleming) meets a very solid illustrator (G. Brian Karas)?  Why, you get a very solid book to add to your collection:

Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!

Muncha! Muncha! Muncha! is a great read, especially if your kidlettes are into gardening, animals, or simply appreciate rabbits who are as stubborn and resourceful as they are.  Recommended.

And I just spied this one, which may have to make it into our library soon:

Tippy-Tippy-Tippy, Hide!
