The four of us leave for Ethiopia three weeks from tomorrow. We are so, so ready to wrap our arms around Baby Brother T and Baby Sister A, even if it just for a few sweet hours. Despite the recent implementation of the five letter limit, we are still holding on to hope that our MOWCYA letter will be there when we show up for court on June 8th. Prayers and good thoughts would be appreciated. For those unfamiliar with the current Ethiopian adoption process, this is the trip where we will meet T & A and appear in court to (hopefully) finalize our adoption. We will make another trip to bring them home.
In the meantime, the past 48+ hours have been filled with thankfulness, joy, panic, and frantic planning. We think we have our tickets lined up, though there will be some last minute checking come Monday morning. Beyond that, we are still researching guest houses. For those in the know, please feel free to offer advice. We need an affordable option that also has a place for the kidlettes to play, offers the option of lunch and dinner (vegetarian), and if you fine folks would like to follow along: internet. Oh, and no bed bugs, please. We don't ask for much (said with all sarcasm).
I have much to be thankful for on this Mother's Day. And much to do, so I'd best get to it. Happy Mother's Day to you.
