June 2: To the Park We Go

Thursday dawned, and with it came the determination to get us all out and about.  I was feeling pretty down, since we found out the day before that many families with court did not have their MOWA letters that week.  We needed a distraction, so Selam offered to escort us to a nearby park.  While we waited for her to be ready, Mama, Sisaye, and Ehtsup (pronounced et-soop) had some fun with Ms. Kate's homemade playdough.

Note Sisaye's conversion of the remote control into a telephone.

Then we were on our way to Future Park.

Finally in sight of the park:

Some fun was had on the swings, and then Sisaye was out like a light.

While still rough, our second full day in Addis Ababa did go better, and their was some laughter to be had.

P.S.  I believe one of our blog readers will see a photo of herself and her little Soybean if she looks really closely at that last picture. :)

Hahaha. I miss little sweetness and love the remote-turned-phone. Love you, little girl!
